Restaurant Limoni function

Dinner at Limoni, Quinta do Lago, paired with wines from Quinta dos Sentidos on Thursday November 14th at 7pm.

Dear Members,

By popular demand we shall be returning to the Limoni Restaurant in Quinta do Lago. On their recommendation we will be drinking wines from Quinta dos Sentidos, which is a relatively new winery, situated on just 9 hectares near the River Arade in Silves. The chef has specially created a menu to pair with their wines.

We will be joined on the evening by the Swiss-Danish owners, Beat Buchmann and Charlotte Toubro, and the resident winemaker, Andre Palma, who will together tell us about this new venture and introduce the wines, four of which we will drink with the meal, and others which will be available to taste. Frances and I visited the winery for a tasting and were most impressed!

The event will start at 7pm with a welcome drink before we sit down to dinner. There will be the opportunity to buy the wines to be delivered at a later date.

(Slow-cooked veal rump steak with vegetables and homemade demi-glace)

 (Traditional Sardinian pastry filled with goat cheese, lemon and orange honey)

Total cost of the dinner will be €70 for members and €75 for guests. Priority as usual will be given to members who book in the first seven days, after which places will be available for guests if there is room. A collection for the tip will be made at the end of the dinner. We did this at the request of members at the Barradas lunch and it proved a success.

Please let me know of any special dietary requirements. If you wish to bring guests, let me know but do not pay for them until a place is confirmed.
